Assistant Director of Sales - MALDIVES
Crawford & Carruthers is searching for an Assistant Director of Sales in Maldives with remote island experience.
Minimum Requirements
- Previous experience working in similar remote environments like the Maldives - and overall market experience priority to those with Europe, Russian and Middle East and local DMCs)
- Scope of responsibilities–
- At least a Degree Certificate in Direct or related field (a bachelor’s degree is required to fulfill the visa requirements)
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role of a 5-star luxury property.
Job Functions
- Direct and oversee sales policies, objectives, and initiatives together with the cluster director of Sales.
- Reports to Cluster Sales Director.
- Set short- and long-term sales strategies and evaluate effectiveness of current sales programs.
- Recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Lead and direct the work of resort sales team with guidance of the Cluster Sales Director.
- The successful candidate will understand what motivates the resort customer base to know how to tap into those needs and desires in an effective way.
- Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the sales team together with the Cluster Director of Sales.
- Assist with designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence.
- Manage, develop, coach, and motivate the sales team to develop their skill to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and KPI targets are met.

Head Pastry Chef - Kenya
Crawford & Carruthers Inc. is searching for a KENYAN Head Chef to oversee the kitchen for a luxury property in Kenya. The role is to assists in the Executive Chef and run and manage primarily the Pastry division.
The candidate should enjoy working independently and have experience in working in luxury lodges or villas in other African settings.
The successful candidate must be able to work under pressure, have attention to detail, must be accurate, customer focused, and have a positive outlook, excellent team player, committed, hardworking and eager to learn.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- At least 3+ years Chef experience.
- Passion for kitchen management –including all kitchen administration, general hygiene, and people management.

KEY OUTPUTS:
Service and Kitchen Management
- · Run and supervise the entire Pastry section of the Kitchen.
- · Work with the Executive chef to ensure standards and goals are met.
- · Ensure all menus are followed and food standard is always excellent.
- · Support the chefs in daily supplies ordering from central store.
- · Support and train new chefs on certain recipes if necessary
- · Continuous monitoring and control of dishes going out.
- · Be flexible when receiving unexpected request from guests and ensure you can
accommodate unusual dietary requirements.
- · Work within operational budgets
- · Stock control measures – including stock rotations and monthly stock take procedures as
prescribed by the lodge financial co-ordinator.

Job Responsibility and function:
●Ensure all health and safety compliance standards are met or exceeded and that all necessary functions in this regard are met.

Guest Experience:
● Proactively manage Guest feedback and ensure that action points are in place with the Heads of Department.
● Monitor Service delivery in all areas of the Hotel and identifying performance gaps and ensuring that corrective points are in line.
● Continuously seeking opportunities to improve the guest experience.
● Proactively manage VIP’s ensuring interaction and procedure is followed.
Employee Engagement

Cash Flow

Operations
● Implement systems and procedure that ensure consistent service delivery in respect of the Day to Day running of the Lodge.

Crawford & Carruthers Inc. is searching for a Programmed Manager who has a master’s degree in marine sciences, with fundraising, project development and implementation, and budget management preferably in an NGO setting, experience.
KEY OUTPUTS:
- Strategic Programme Management and development guidance, including responsibility for the delivery of all strategic programme and project outputs.
- Scientific research, monitoring, and coordination of all conservation research initiatives, ensure data collated and stored, enable sharing of research results and insights.
- Co-ordinate and enable citizen science and / or guest involvement.
- Fundraising, grant writing, donor management and engagement, donor reporting, and the development and implementation of fundraising campaigns.
- Enable and support liaison with local government departments, NGO’s, universities, and local authorities on a programme and project basis.
- Participate in relevant conservation and community boards and forums.
- Oversight of the budgets, including finances, payroll, procurement, and HR processes.
- Co-ordinate Impact projects at regional level where required.
- Management of the team, together with the relevant Regional Managers.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Minimum of a master’s degree in marine sciences, with a PhD being preferable.
- Proven experience in fundraising, project development and implementation, and budget management (e.g., project planning, grant management, compiling, and monitoring budgets, project cycle management, narrative, and financial reporting), preferably in an NGO setting.
- Previous experience in developing and maintaining systematic and transparent records to keep track of projects and for accountability and auditing.
- Experience of effective and values-based partnership work between international and local organisations and communities preferable.
